Luke Bromley ~ Home

Early Days

Luke Bromley, born Luke William Bromley in Epsom Surrey England.

Luke grew up in Chessington Surrey and is the great grandson of Ollie Aston the musical director of the Leicester Square Theatre who wrote many songs for Gracie Fields.

He started acting at the age of six auditioning for a part at Wimbledon Theatre in "Annie".

Stage Appearences

Luke then proceeded to appear in many more musicals including singin in the rain at Richmond Theatre and with Sam Kane at Woking in Carousel and eventually back at Wimbledon in Barnham.In more recent times Luke has performed at The Royal Court Theatre in The Scenes fron the Back of Beyond,with Penny Downie and Daniel Lapaine also in The Khomenko Family Chronicles with Dorothy Atkinson and Pearce Quigley and lastly Satellite with amongst others Maxine Peake and Shaun Dingwall

Television

The first time Luke appeared on television was in Clitheroe a comedy lab production for channel four which was directed by Jalaal Hartley and Dan Roberts this hilarious sketch featured Luke playing the part of a very young plumber ,this being an understatement as he was eight at the time,in this sketch he proceeded to service a boiler much to the astonishment of the couple who phoned for an emergency plumber.

The closing scene shows Luke riding off into the sunset to get ‘parts’ however what you do not see is Luke promptly crashing into a bush (this one was ideal for out take tv ) Following on from this was to take Luke to a piece of waste ground in Morden south London in The Bill, Luke was to play the part of Ryan Porter a disjointed character who discovers a dead body and has the rather gristly idea of collecting the shoes this eventually leads to him being taken away by the boys in blue,and no he did not get to keep the shoes although they could of fetched a few quid on ebay!

This was followed by a CBBC production titled Living It Luke's character Craig was a rather annoying boy intent on making friends of the local bully's at the cost of his real friends.One of the scenes filmed at Elstree Luke was made up as a far too convincing zombie.This only lasted for one series.

Next took him to Pinewood Studios the home of many blockbuster movies,it was here that Planet Cook was filmed appearing with Dave Benson Phillips and Kevin Woodford,it was on Planet cook that Luke learned how to break an egg with one hand and make volcano's from mash potato! The next television appearance was with the comedy duo Mitchell and Webb the sketch was filmed on a farm in Hertford and Luke was to play the part of a farmers son whom had some dubious intensions regarding safe farming practices.

In 2007 Luke went on to appear in Torchwood as Eugene Jones failing a inter schools maths quiz but picking up an alian eye, this was filmed as with the majority of the episodes in Cardiff and had Luke appearing alongside Roger Ashton Griffiths

Luke was also a Football fan in the comedy show Ruddy Hell its Harry and Paul whilst walking through a park filmed in Potters Bar Luke gets bought by Paul Whitehouse playing the part of Roman Abramovch.

In 2009 he appeared as Adam Ogden in The Bill,this was a gritty episode set in a school where he gets badly beatenup and ends up being arrested in hospital.

Films

In 2003 Luke played the lead in the film "Between Us" it was shot entirely on location in Leicestershire,the plot was based on a relationship that was formed in a traffic jam between a young boy Lucas played by Luke and Amanda who was played by Madeline Duggan, the film went on to acheive numerous awards and was a great stepping stone for many who were lucky enough to be involved in it.

Luke has also appeared in Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix.
